Who is "Wings of Help"

"Wings of Help" is the translation for "Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen".

The objective of "Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen" (Aviation without Borders) is to support other humanitarian organizations worldwide through the coordination of air transport for rescue workers, supplies and patients.

Being the German part of a European organisation LOG is affiliated with "Aviation sans Frontières" (France, Belgium and in the Netherlands) and "Aviación sin Frontera" (Spain) all of which provide similar services everywhere in the world.

With the help of private individuals, companies and Air Lines LOG utilises the networks of aviation for a wide variety of humanitarian missions, such as;

• air transport of children who receive medical treatment in Germany
• transport of doctors who volunteer their talents to provide medical treatment für children in need
• shipment of medicine and medical supplies to crisis regions around the world
• immediate organisation of donations and relief material in case of natural disasters as well as shipment of that material to devastated regions

For example, in the afternoon of the Tsunami disaster that devastated much of Southeast Asia, LOG was in Indonesia and Sri Lanka. As soon as possible, a civilian "Jumbo" jet with approximately 100 tons of supplies, including a mobile hospital was transported to the stricken areas.

Membership

Everybody interested can become member of LOG. The application must be sent to the board of LOG who will then decide on the acceptance. The minimum annual membership contribution is currently € 35,-. Of course further donations are welcome at any time.
