Mr. Jehangir Ali Khan and a team of 175 doctors, nurses and logisticians provide aid in the flooded areas around Peshawar. The Country Director IMC (International Medical Corps) Paki-stan pictures the situation at the disastrous scenery as follows:

„We encountered troublesome transports of the relief goods that were forwarded by trucks from Islamabad over ruined and flooded roads into the operation area near Peshawar.
We are fortunate to be able to use at least the ground transport at the moment to enable constant supply of our 18 rudimentary hospitals in the disaster affected area.

We very much appreciate the help from Germany. The help of LOG seems to be sent from heaven. The misery and the despair of the flood victims is beyond words.“

LOG / Wings of Help remains supporting its partner IMC in Pershawar with all its effort. Every-one who donates to LOG / Wings of Help can be sure to contribute without any delay. The do-nated funds will directly turn into relief goods.
On the 25th of August, 2010, 140 nine-person tents, donated by EADS, as well as other relief goods were sent to Pakistan.
Another valuable donation came from Rhineland-Palatinate.
Werner & Mertz GmbH, Mainz, provided 63 euro-pallets of germicide and disinfectant.
Especially after floods, the sanitary and medical conditions are disastrous and the support is of utmost importance.

The risk for epidemic rises day by day.
